Krissie: so Astraearose-silvermoon and Godess Bubbles wanted me to focus on the girls this chapter. So that's what will do as I head to work. Yay buses and trains. And we're starting off with last change playing on my phone too. :)
Luna "."
Usagi giggled with glee as she bounced on her bed. "Really? They're going to do a concert?"
"Yeah! I'm helping!" Mina beamed as she brushed her hair. The cameras on their computers connecting the five girls.
"Myriam will love that surprise," Rei laughed.
"I still can't believe you know Jadeite's mom and that you're friends." Mako shook her head. "Wasn't that dinner awkward?"
"Not really. Well, except for when Jadeite froze his father's hand. So the guys do still have some of their powers from their previous lives." Rei shrugged.
"He froze his dad's arm?!" The ither four shouted in unison.
"He went to hit him. Jadeite acted in self defense. He just went over board." Rei stated. "But Myriam deserves something nice. I think being treated to him singing. Jadeite does have a nice voice."
"When did he sing for you?" Usagi asked as she ran her fingers through her hair.
Rei blushed. "It was centuries ago. Like three last lives ago for him. He probably doesn't remember. Or at least I hope he doesn't..."
"You sound sad, do you want a hug?" Usagi opened her arms wide.
Rei laughed as she shook her head. "I'll get over it. No worries." Rei fiddled with the box she had been given.
"He got you a gift at least," Ami added.
"For being a good friend to his mom," Rei pouted. She shook her. "I don't know why I was expecting more..." she mumbled.
Usagi opened her mouth, but then closed it. She knew they were soul mates like her and Mamoru, but saying it might be too cruel.
"We're soul mates with them duh," Mina stated flatly. "But unlike Usagi and Mamoru who don't hide their attraction, we're playing ring a round the rosy." She threw her hands in the air. "It would be easier if they showed us any signs they liked us like the silver millennium we'd be jumping with giddy joy like Usagi all the time!" Mina took a few deep breaths. She was frustrated.
"Mina?" Usagi spoke softly.
"Sorry, I'm frustrated." Mina sighed. "I flirted with Shin most of the day and he didn't catch on at all. Maybe I was too subtle..."
"Well, why don't you perform a love song for him during the concert?" Ami suggested. "They'll need a sexond performer to fill up the space. Why not make use of it?"
"That's a great idea!" Mako chimed. "Plus, it'll get your name out there as an idol more."
"Yeah, you can kill two birds with one stone!" Usagi smiled.
Mina perked up at that. "That sounds great! Though I'm afraid Izono has already beaten me to the punch."
"How so?" Usagi began braiding her hair.
"Izono has a notebook fill of love songs he wrote to Ami. They're cute, but still need work." Mina snickered.
Ami's face turned bright red as she tried to hide it behind a book. "I deflected by making a your gay joke and he rolled with it. Sad thing is, the other guys all bought it."
"Oh dear," Ami tried to stiffle her laugh as the other burst into giggle fits.
"So what all is up with the show plan?" Mako asked.
"I have the papers to rent the stage in the park. It'll cost about 150$ to rent it for an hour and a half." Ami looked over the paper work.
"Shin said two hours would be too long since Jadeite and Zoisite only had two songs. They were going to be a music fest with other performers." Mina pouted. She wanted a good two hours.
"Then there is equipment rental. Speakers and any musical instruments they'll need." Ami stated. "Shin said he'll be job hunting tomorrow right?"
"Yeah. I offered to go with him, but he told me to enjoy my day off." Mina pouted. She glanced at Rei who was still fiddling with the box. "Open it already Rei. It won't bite you."
Rei cringed slightly. "I hope not."
Mako rolled her eyes. "Ok, let's all go to Rei's place and make her open this present. It's not going to get opened any other way."
"Agreed!" The other three nodded.
"What! I'll open it!" Rei stammered. "Just... when I'm ready..."
"Usagi, it's time for bed. Say good night to your friends." Usagi's mom knocked on her door.
"Kay! " Usagi called back. "Got to go! Night guys!"
"Night," the other's replied before logging off.
THE NEXT DAY, the girls met at Rei's family temple. They found Rei selling charms. It was a little pass Ten, but since some big tests were coming up, people were rushing for good luck charms.
"Sorry, I'm late!" Usagi huffed as she ran up the hill. The other girls smiled as they looked at Usagi. She was always late.
Rei looked over at them. "Just give me a few minutes."
"Do you want ua to help?" Mako asked as she shifted the basket in her arms.
"That would be great. Uniforms are," Rei called as she grabbed more charms.
"We remember, " Usagi bounced up once she caught her breath.
It took 30 minutes for the flow to die down for them to take a break. The girls sat in Rei's room with some fresh tea her grandpa made. Rei pulled out the box and sat it on the table.
"It's not open yet," Mina tsked. "Come on Rei, it's just a simple box." Mako encouraged.
"It's probably a hair pin like the one he got his mom and Amelia." Ami suggested.
"I know." She hissed. "It's just... I don't know."
Usagi placed a hand on her shoulder. Her blue eyes were bright and encouraging. "You can do it," the phrase was soft.
Rei took a deep breath as she placed her hand on the bow. She slid it off the box. It was a shiny red bow around the black box. She released her breath as she grabbed the top of the box. She shimmied it out of the lower half. Her breath became caught in her throat at the site of the contents.
It was an elegant gold and black hair pin. It had casablanca flowers with ruby centers. Rei felt the air get stuck in her mouth. Her eyes watering slightly.
"It's beautiful," Mako sighed as the group looked at it.
"I can already see so many different ways to put it in your hair." Mina smiled.
"It's too bad that I don't put my hair up often." Rei sighed.
"Then it can be for special occasions only," Ami suggested.
"I guess your right," Rei nodded as she looked at the box.
Mina pouted, "Now if only they were a little more direct. I would like a date before I'm old."
"Maybe we'll have to make the first move," Ami spoke softly.
Everyone stared at her, causing the blue haired woman to blush.
"Wow, aren't you bold today," Mako teased.
"But her logic is sound," Rei stated.
"I think we should try!" Mina hopped up. "So let's get some outfits to rock their socks off. Ami, you're participating too!"
Ami opened her mouth to object.
"You came up with the plan, you should try it to see if it works." Mina beamed.
And with that, the girls were off.

R.o.S. ch9 pt2
Here is part two of chap 9.
[][][][]}][
Rei nodded. "I think I'll be fine without it, but I'll keep it just in case."
"Jadeite!" Myriam slapped his arm. "You're father isn't that horrible a man."
Jadeite arched a brow. He said nothing as he went back to cooking. "Is this turning out well, Mommy." He showed her the food as he spoke with the sweetest of voices.
Myriam sighed with a smile. "It's coming nicely."
Dinner was soon done. It was a nice traditional Japanese dinner that the writer is too lazy to name. Once dinner was laid on the table a knock came to the door.
Jadeite found himsef sneering as he stood. "I'll get the door mother."
"Greet your father politely," Myriam begged him.
Jadeite nodded as he walked to the door. He opened the door with his best model smile. "Hello Thomas, you're right on time for dinner."
Thomas nodded. His bleach blond hair was cut short but spiked upward. "I'm glad to hear it."
Jadeite nodded as he stepped to the side. "Please follow me," he gestured with his hands. He walked tall and proud like the general he was. He was the king of harmony and patience after all. He could do this. He frowned as he entered the dinning room. "I hate this," he mouthed. He soon switched to a smile as he sat next to his mom. Rei sat on Myriam's other side. Masato sat next to Jadeite and Amelia sat across from him.
Thomas arched a brow as he sat next to Masato. "Why is she here?" He pointed to Rei. He had been told Amelia and Masato wouls be there. But not the annoying physic girl.
"Hino-sama," Jadeite stressed the sama, "Is here to visit mom. She is a good customer at the store."
"Good customers don't join you for dinner." Thomas stated with an annoyed face.
"I just couldn't help but beg to have Ojou-sama's delicious home cooking," Rei interjected. "Especially if I could meet her precious son with a nickname like Peacock. I was just so curious how much he was like one."
"Well you must be disappointed," Thomas stated. "The boy hasn't made much of himself to deserve the stupid nickname."
"Why don't we eat before the food gets cold?" Amelia stated. "Us Americans are rather impatient, you know."
Everyone picked up their chopsticks and ate in silence for a few minutes.
"So where have you been?" Thomas asked as he glared at the boy.
"We were lost in an midde Eastern country. Our phones, passports, and wallets had been stolen. It was very hard and tough on us." Jadeite stated with the attitude of a king.
"We're lucky we made it back to Japan at all." Masato added.
"Thank goodness that fret ship allowed you boys to stoaway." Amelia added.
"Yes. It was all quite frightful though." Jadeite stated.
"I had never seen Shin look so green," Masato shook his head. "I thought he would puke on me."
"Not while we're eating Masato," Myriam chided.
"So what have you been up to since we've last met?" Jadeite asked.
"Working an actual job and getting paid." Thomas sneered.
Jadeite nodded with a smile. "So what kind of work are you doing?"
"Construction." Thomas shot back.
"Ah. That's really hard work. Some peppermint tea when you get home can help relax your muscles." Jadeite stated. "In fact, the scent of peppermint alone should be enough."
"I don't need your stupid tea boy." Thomas growled.
Myriam frowned as she continued to eat.
Jadeite merely smiled. "I'm just trying to give you a helpful suggestion. You're always complaining of sore muscles."
"Whose fault is it that I have a bad foot?" Thomas hissed.
"I don't recall. Whose fault is it?" Jadeite tilted his head.
"It's yours. And you did it on purpose." Thomas slammed his fist on the table.
"He didn't do it on purpose!" Myriam exclaimed. "He was only 3. Three year olds get rowdy."
"No. He did it on purpose." Thomas insisted.
"What did I do when I was three?" Jadeite asked.
"How can you not remember attacking your own father!?" Thomas grew irrate as he stood up.
"He was 3. He was too young to remember." Myriam stated.
"Most children don't start actually remembering things until they're five. That's why I asked what it was I did." Jadeite said calmly.
"Why you!" Thomas pulled Jadeite up by the collar.
Everyone gasped as Rei stood up. Jadeite kept a straight face. "Please sit down. You're disrupting dinner."
Thomas pulled his fist back and brought it forward. "Don't act so high and mighty."
Jadeite merely stared at Thomas's hand as it found itself in cased in ice.
Thomas let out a shriek as he stared at his hand.
Masato suck in a breath as he pushed his seat back. He got up as Thomas continue on. He placed his hand on Thomas's shoulder as he concentrated. He recited a contra he knew well.
Thomas's face went blank as his body loosened.
"Unfreeze his arm," Masato ordered hushly.
Jadeite nodded as snapped his fingers above Thomas's hand.
Masato recited another contra before Thomas walked back to his seat. He sat and finished his food silently before standing up again.
"Well it was nice seeing you all, but I have to leave now. Thank you for dinner." Thomas said, still looking hazy.
Jadeite nodded. "Same here." He walked Thomas to the door. "Have a safe trip home."
Once Thomas was gone, Jadeite sat down and began finishing his dinner. "Your cooking is wonderful mom."
"Thanks..." Myriam nodded. "What just happened?"
"Thomas came over to dinner?" Jadeite refused to make eye contact.
"It looked to me like you froze his fist." Amelia pipped in.
"The damage isn't permanent. And I didn't exactly harm him," Jadeite held up a finger to make a point. He continued eating.
"Your cooking is wonderful ma'am," Masato added on as he finished his plate. "Please allow me help with the dishes!" He quickly gathered up his dishes and Thomas's before dashing off to the sink.
Myriam stared at her son. Amelia joined as they ate in silence. Myriam shook her head as she smiled at Rei. "So how have things been with you Rei-chan?"
"It's been going well." Rei nodded. "I have a test at school next week."
"Well, I hope you do well. I know how busy the shrine keeps you. How has your grandpa been?"
"He's doing well. And things hace been busy at the shrine. A lot of people have been coming by to get charms for their exams."
"Ah! I haven't been to many shrines yet. Is the one you work at family owned?"
Rei nodded with a smile. "Yes. You should come by sometime. If I'm there, I can gove you a tour."
"Oh that's so sweet. I'll take you up on that if I see you." Amelia beamed. "But tomorrow is a day off, right? You should take that day to relax. It's good to hang out with friends and be worry free once in a while. Maybe I'll come by Tuesday or Wednesday. Would that me alright with you?"
"I would like that very much," Rei smiled. The three made small talk as Jadeite finished his food and hid in the kitchen with Masato.
Myriam gathered the plates and walked into the plates and stood in the door way.
"What did they do?" Rei asked as she walked up behind her. She looked over Myriam's shoulder and tilted her head as she stared at the boys.
Apparently they had gotten bored and decided to clean the whole kitchen. It was spotless and sparkling. The two boys seemed to be organizing the can goods by type.
"Boys?" Myriam coughed from the strong scent of pinsol.
"Oh, hello mom," Jadeite smiled as he handed two cans to Masato. "Let me get those," he took the dishes from her. "Would you like me to make you some tea?"
"Am I going to be able to find anything in the morning?" She smiled.
"I'll draw you a diagram," Jadeite stated. "But you've been working so hard, why don't you take a break and enjoy some tea with the ladies. Jadeite glanced at the clock on the microwave. "Miss Hino, will your grandfather or Chad be coming to get you? It will be getting dark soon."
"I can manage to get home on my own," Rei glared at Jadeite. Though she appreciated him being formal with her a part of that formality stung.
Jadeite turned to Masato, but before he could voice his question, Masato spoke.
"I can drive Rei home. If you don't mind waiting til we finish this, I'll be more then happy to take you." Masato smiled at the raven haired teen. Rei saw no point in arguing.
"Very well," she turned to Myriam. "Would it be alright if I stayed a little longer?"
"Not at all," Myriam smiled.
"That's good," Jadeite beamed at his mother, "You three can have some girl talk while we finish this. So what tea qould you like?"
"I'm not in the mood for tea right now. Are you Rei?" Rei shook her head. "How about you Amelia?"
"Nah, I'm good," Amelia said from the kitchen.
The three women found themselves playing cards. Rei was slowly getting a grip on Texas hold 'em.
The two men came out of the kitchen and Masato grabbed his keys off the wall. "It was very nice to have dinner with you ma'am." He bowed.
Myriam nodded. "Get home safely," she hugged Jadeite.
"Shall I visit tomorrow?" Jadeite smiled as he folded his hands behind his back.
Myriam merely smiled as she patted her son on the cheek. "No, hang out with your friends. Amelia have a girl's day planned. You'll find it boring."

R.o.S. ch9 part1
Krissie: now we start on the dinner at Myriam's house.
[][]¤[][][ºººº
Jadeite bowed as he greeted Amelia at the front door. She smiled back as she hugged him and Masato close.
"It's so good to see you two!" Amelia planted a kiss on Masato's cheek. Amelia had to stand on her tip toes to do it, but she managed. "I have so much to talk to you two about."
"We can talk as we perpare dinner," Myriam smiled.
"We also brought you a gift," Jadeite handed her a small box.
"Plus myself," Masato pointed to the christmas bow in his hair.
"And it's my favorite color too." She sang as they entered the house.
Once inside, Myraim and Jadeite set to work on dinner. Myriam didn't like the idea of making her guest cook.
"So what all happened with the dark agency? I know from last night they kidnapped you and the sailor scouts saved you. But what else?" Amelia pryed.
Masato and Jadeite sighed.
"It's complicated," Jadeite stated.
"Well say it as basically as yoy can," Myriam waved a hand.
"The Dark Agency was run by Metallia. An evil being." Masato began.
"Alien, basically." Jadeite shrugged.
"She brainwashed us in order to do her dirty work for her under the order of Beryl, another puppet of hers. We also went by different names." Masato finished explaining.
"That does sound serious," Amelia nodded. "But the Dark Agency seem to disappear 3 years ago. So where have you guys been?"
"What names were you called?" Myriam asked with a concern look in her eyes.
Masato took a deep breath. "I was called Nephrite. Jadeite was still called Jadeite. Izono and Shin were called Zoisite and Kunzite. And the last three years..." he loomed at Jadeite, "I really don't want to say."
"Was Endymian there?" Myriam asked with a blank face.
Masato and Jadeite looked at Myriam with wide eyes.
"You were a baby at the time," she looked Jadeite, "But you told me about a few passed lives you had. You mentioned Endymian a few times. You even named your teddy bear that. I thought it was because of all the minerals I have around the house, but mentioned things in such a way." She smiled breifly. "I just knew you remembering your past lives. I guess you don't remember telling me all of that because you were so young. But do you remember all of that one now?" She patted her son's cheek.
"I remember most of it." Jadeite admitted, "Though I don't remember recalling it as a kid. Or telling you."
Myriam smiled. "So was Enymian there?"
"Actually," Jadeite busied himself with perparing dinner. "We've been with Emdymian for the pass three years... as rocks." He avoided all eye contact.
"What does he mean as rocks?" Amelia stared Masato down.
Masato cringed, "We lost our physical bodies and became rocks."
Amelia arched an eyebrow at him as she gestured to his body.
"Serenity and Emdymian found a way to give us bodies." Jadeite stated.
"The moon princess?" Myriam tilted her head. "She was reincarnated too?"
"Yes," Jadeite nodded with a small smile.
"You complained she once ate a cake you were saving by accident," Myriam mused.
Jadeite chuckled, "She loves to eat in this life too."
"Are Endy and Serenity planning to get married in this life too?" Myriam hummed.
"Yes. Though they have different names now," Masato chimed in.
"Well at least you're back home. And not as rock," Amelia laughed, "I have no clue how to take care of a pet rock."
"You couldn't take care of a fish Aunt Amelia," Masato shook his head.
"And yet you asked me to take care of at least 4 pet fish for you while you went on trips." She laughed. "I wish you had learned after the first one not to leave your pets with me."
"Well I don't have any pets right now. And it'll be a while before I can get one." Masato laughed.
The door bell rang. Amelia got up with a quick, "I'll get it."
She opened the door with a soft hello before screaming. "Myriam what engagement service did you sign your son up for?"
Jadeite and Masato arched an eyebrow as they look at Myriam. Myriam went to the door with the two men watching from the the end of the hall.
"Oh that's Rei-chan. She's here for dinner." Myriam stated.
"Like an interview before the marriage?" Amelia questioned.
"No. She's not here to be married." Myriam assured the woman.
Amelia nodded as she stepped away. "Jadeite you don't have to run away and change your name," she said with a smile.
Jadeite nodded. "Whoo. That was a close one." He mocked wipping his brow.
"You're awful." Myriam pinched his cheeks as she walked back to the kitchen. "Dinner is quite yet done, but feel free to sit at the table and chat."
Rei nodded with a soft thank you. She wore a nice red blouse and a black skirt that went a little pass her knees. She even wore light make up for the occasion.
Jadeite thought she looked very attractive as he walked back into the kitchen to finish dinner with his mom. He grabbed a can of red pepper and handed it to Rei after she was seated.
Rei arched an eyebrow at the can.
"If Thomas tries anything stupid throw that in his face." Jadeite stated as he pointed to the can.

R.o.S. Family call
Shin entered the house only to hear the piano playing. "Izono Saitou!" He chided as he marched to the room with the piano. He glared at the younger male. "Why aren't you in bed?"
Izono glanced up at his older brother. He meekly smiled as he pointed to the phone nestled between his neck and ear.
"Who are you on the phone with?" Shin whispered in a hiss.
"Mom, big brother just got back," Izono stated as he pulled the phone away from his ear. He clicked the speaker button and placed the phone on top of the piano.
"Is he ok? Are you two eating healthy?"
"We're fine mom," Shin sighed as their mom rattled on.
"I can't believe you two got lost in the middle east." She whined. "Your father and I are getting everything in order and we'll be there to bring you both home as soon as possible."
"What?" Izono seemed to whine.
"I'm afraid that won't do mom, Izono has a possible gig coming up." Shin stated. He didn't want to leave just yet. Their king was here. How could he just contently leave for London and stay until their over protective mom felt secure enough to let them be on their own? The answer was he couldn't.
"What gig?" She sounded irritated.
"A concert gig. Just a small one. But still a gig." Shin stated. He knew his mom wouldn't get in the way of Izono's dreams.
"What gig?" Izono whispered as he leaned away from the phone. This was the first he heard of it.
"Performing the one for Miss Taitou that we missed due to the chaos. Aino wants to help us perform it on miss Taitou's birthday."
Izono smiled. "That'll be perfect!" He turned back to the phone, "Please mom, let me perform. You and dad can come see it too!"
"Of course we'll come watch. But we're coming early to see you two. It's been so long! I bet you two need some clothes right?"
"Yeah we could use that," Shin smiled.
"I'll bring a few clothes. I'm not sure if anything here fits you anymore. But I can always take you shopping later." She seemed content with that.

R.o.S. Mina's test
Mina gulped as she walked onto campus. She was nervous. She had spent the last hour going over geometry with Shin.
"Good luck Aino-chan!" Shin waved to her from the gate.
Mina smiled as she waved back. She wished he would call her Mina, but he was refusing too so far. Once she was inside, she saw him begin to walk away.
"Who is that?" An underclassman asked as she oogled Shin from the window.
Mina smiled, "A friend." And with that she marched to class. She had to pass this test.
Mina was amazed to see that she finally understood what was on the paper in front of her. Shin had really helped her prepare for this test. But then again, he made sure to bribe her and keep her attention with said bribe. She turned in the test and then axiously sat at her desk waiting for the teacher to grade it.
The teacher gave her a surprised look to see her waiting for the result. She still began grading it anyway. Her eyes went up by the end of it, but then smiled happily as she got up and walked to Mina's desk.
Mina looked up at her teacher. The nervousness was eating away at her.
"Well done," the teacher placed the paper on her desk. "You passed. And did a lot better this time. You studied really hard for this with your friends."
Mina nodded. "Saitou-kun is a great tutor." She looked at the 78 written on the paper. It wasn't an A, but it wasn't an F, so Mina didn't care. She picked up the paper and went to her next class.
She met Ami in the hallway.
"How was the make up test?" Ami asked.
Mina smiled, "78."
"That's great," she congratulated. "Do you want to celebrate after school at the arcade?"
"That sounds good, but Shin owes me something first. So I want to show this to him."
"What is it that he owes you?" Ami asked.
Mina quickly told Ami about the concert plan. The blue haired girl smiled at the idea. "Do you want to help?"
"I'll see what I can do." Ami nodded.

Shin brought his hand through his silver hair, "I had to come to Japan for business and Izono came with me. Even though we're descendent from Japan, we had never been here. We were excited so Izou got us a tour guide while we tried to learn enough Japanese to get by."
"Really? How was the tour?" Mina asked with a smile.
Shin smiled a huge smile, "Our tour guide was Jadeite!"
"Really?" Mina seemed amused as Shin went over the memories with her.
"Yes. He was really stiff and nervous at first. He worked a lot of jobs in order to support himself and his mom since they weren't too well off and he went to school too. But I remember that I went to put our bags in our room and Izou stayed with Jadeite to practice his Japanese. I was gone five to ten minutes max, and when I came back the two were best buds." Shin shook his head. "Jadeite wanted to be a model and since Izou wanted to be a pianist the two joke about becoming pop idols together. While I was at work, those two went to a few auditions together. I had met Masato through work and since he was a talent agent, we sat down over drinks and talked about their chances. We had a plan and everything to get those two on a stage to perform. The Dark Agency was supposed to put them on a stage. It would've been their debut. Though it involved singing and not modeling, but Jadeite took it."
"Can he sing?" Mina wondered.
"Very well actually," Shin nodded. "Izono too. We were going to put on a public concert. Jadeite and Izono decided to do a performance for Jadeite's mom since it would be held on her birthday. They had practiced so hard too. It's a shame we didn't get to do it."
"Well when is Jadeite's mom's birthday?" Mina asked.
"October 22nd." Shin stated.
Mina gasped. "We don't have much time!"
"What do you mean?" Shin arched an eyebrow.
"Well it might not be a debut stage, but such a sweet performance, why not do it this year. It's already the 5th. That's not long to find a stage. Do you remember how long their set was?"
"It was only one song," Shin stated. "We were going to perform at a music festival in London with several other beginning artists."
"But still it was for her birthday, roght?" Mina stated. "She should at least be able to see it. This park might be a good place. There's actually a stage at the other end that is used for festivals. I'm sure if we ask, they won't mind letting you use it for one day."
"Aino-san, I appreciate what you're trying to do, but I don't know if Jadeite or Izono will be interested. Well I'm pretty sure Izou will jump at the chance. I know my little brother like the back of my hand... Well I thought I did until this morning..." Shin shook his head. "But besides that, Jadeite might not be up to it."
"Then we'll ask him," Mina waved her hand in the air, "I'm sure he'll say yes."
Shin sighed. "What about your geometry test?"
"That can wait. This is more important."
Shin crossed his arms. "How about this, if you get good marks on your test, I'll let you help arrange this little concert starting when you get off from school today."
"What?" Mina seemed to whine.
"Good marks on your test or no show." Shin stated firmly.
Mina sighed with a pout. "We better start studying now."

Rebirth of shitennou random scene
Izono smiled at his parents as he finished playing th song on the piano. They clapped happily from their spots on the couch.
"That's my boy! Always a good pianists." His father praised. "Just wish you would apply more effort in other activities. "
"Oh hush dear," his mom batted her husband's arm. "At least our baby is home." She raced up to hug Izono and nearly chocked him out with it. "Now where have you been?"
